Lets get science-y about some of our featured ingredients;

Chamomile is a time honored herb that goes back centuries, and well loved for many reasons! Chamomile is high in azulene, giving it its anti-inflammatory properties, making it an effective application for acne and soothing irritated skin. Its calming nature makes it ideal for sensitive skin, helping to reduce redness and irritation. Additionally, chamomile can aid in reducing minor wounds and sunburns, while its gentle nature makes it suitable for all skin types. *Please note that anyone with an allergy in the daisy (Asteraceae) family may have a reaction.

Cocoa butter has an approximate comedogenic rating of 4/5 making it fairly likely to clog pores meaning that this soap bar is better suited for dry and normal skin types. Everyone's skin is different however, so if you have any concerns a patch test is always recommended! Cocoa butter is a (mostly) saturated fat with a primary fatty acid profile consisting of stearic, and oleic acids which help to deeply hydrate the skin, acting as an emollient (emollients aid skin barrier function that seal in moisture). Cocoa butter does wonders for dry, chapped skin and promotes healthy aging with its high antioxidant profile of polyphenols. 

Coconut water is packed with vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that nourish the skin, promoting a healthy and radiant complexion. The high concentration of cytokinins in coconut water may help regulate cell growth and repair, improving healthy ageing by potential reduction and appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Its natural hydrating properties make it an effective moisturizer, leaving the skin feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Castor oil is rich in fatty acids, particularly ricinoleic acid, which can help in promoting hydration and softness. Its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties make it effective in helping to reduce acne and calming irritated skin. Castor oil also contains antioxidants that help fight free radicals, promoting healthy ageing. Additionally, it can aid in the reduction of wounds, scars, and stretch marks, making it a versatile addition to skincare routines.
